Aunt Ni Ni,
We have so many fond memories of you. One of the first is how you always bought us the most amazing matching dresses for Easter and other holidays, and I know how much you enjoyed watching our faces light up when you gave us our matching baby dolls.  We were very fortunate to get to spend a lot of time with you in our younger years, you not only opened your home to our Dad, but to his rambunctious twins.  We remember waking up on Sundays to the smell of nail polish, we remember how well you took care of yourself, and as Cecil said "you were a lady".  This is how we were taught to be ladies, watching you. You taught school every day, but always took the time to teach us so much, answering all of our crazy questions, and even letting us help you grade your papers. Not only were you and Cecil fortuante to have found eachother we feel very blessed to have had Cecil come into our lives as well.  It's hard to imagine having a holiday without you, you were the one who made them so special, your food, your home, your incredibly warm heart. It's never going to be the same without you here with us but we take comfort in knowing you are in a much better place. Although it breaks our hearts that Layla will not get to experience what we did growing up with Aunt Ni Ni we find joy in sharing all of the wonderful memories with her. We love and miss you more than you will ever know. We know you and grandpa are keeping eachother company and we will see you again one day

Well J W, easier to say than Juaniter, as Cecil likes ta call ya, I couldn't have asked for a better sister in this life. I didn't miss a single Elvis or Frankie and Annette movie because of you. You always included little brother. You let me use your big ol' brand new Buick Lesabre to go to my senior prom. Wow! When I needed a place to stay, your door was always open. You were a great aunt Ni Ni to the girls, and when the grandbaby's came, yours and mine, you opened your heart to them. When you and Cecil met you both hit the jackpot. Your love, strength, and courage lives on in him. Your character and personality is evident in all of your friends. You have so many. You touched more lives than I'll ever know, and we're all better for that. You were true blue to Mom, and I take comfort in knowing that you are now with Dad. I wish I could taste your cooking again. I wish we had done more together. I wish I had seen you before you left us. I wish. I will not say goodbye to you, but farewell for now. I will see your beauty in the flowers and trees, and hear your laughter in the singing of the birds. I Love You Juanita May!!!!!

I remember meeting Juanita for the First time and she was surprised that I sat and spoke with my offical "stepmom", as time went on I will always remember how happy you made my dad, and for sure he loved your home cooking!!
Juanita, Julie and I will always remember that you were with us for the brith of our three children, and how much you loved to be with them and enjoyed each others company. We assure you that your legacy will never be forgotten and you will always be mema Juanita to us, we miss you dearly and as we approach thanksgiving we are thankful that we had the pleasure to share our lives with you the last 10 years, and you will be with us forever.

What a pleasure sharing the births of our Grandchildren - Kenny, Kassidy and Kris – and most importantly sharing the name they gave us “Mima”.  You gave them love, warmth and comfort - you were there for my daughter when I couldn’t.
