She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Carlisle Hendrick; her father, Leo Paul Hendrick; and her brother, Larry Thomas Hendrick.
Kaye was raised in Winter Haven, Florida, where she completed her schooling. She attended Stetson University for two years before transferring to Florida State University, where she earned her degree in education.
She taught for a few years in Annapolis, Maryland and later continued her teaching career in Immokalee, Florida, where she taught fourth grade for the remainder of her career. Kaye dedicated her life to shaping young minds and carried a deep love for her students.
On February 10, 2018, she married John Wells Jones, and together they resided in their home in Felda, Florida.
Kaye was a deeply devoted, conservative Christian who gave of herself both through service and through her generosity. She shared her faith openly and often, believing wholeheartedly that the world was a better place with love in it. Those who knew her were blessed to walk beside her for as long as they did.
She also had a tremendous love for rescue animals, and caring for them was one of her greatest worldly passions.
Kaye’s presence, conviction, and compassion will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
