

Kathryn P. Ciell-Hays, 55 yrs. Fort Myers, FL, died peacefully on March 1, 2015 of liver disease, the sequela of many years battling addiction, and recent battle with cancer. She grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ. Daughter of the late August P. and Marion C. Ciell. She is survived by siblings Michael (Claire) & Auggie (Linda) Ciell, and Christine (William) McBride and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She graduated from Cherry Hill High School East and Gettysburg College and attended Oklahoma City University Law School. First married to Joseph Murphy and then to (the late) Gary Hays; both gave her an enthusiasm for FSU.
She enjoyed a career in pharmaceutical sales.
Kathy had an outgoing personality and enjoyed converstion-she would talk to anyone & everyone she could; she loved people, animals, food & travel, flowers, art, music, and had a penchant for humor & drama.
Thanks to all the people who helped her in her times of need- the staff of Hope Hospice, LMH, The woodlands, Florida Cancer Specialists, 21st Century Radiation, Life Care Center of Estero, and Zirilli's Cool Treats on Pine Island Road, who filled her chemo days with delightful Italian "Water Ice." And to the dear friends who offered themselves as inspiration and guidance and enriched her days with food, friendship, and art!
Funeral services will be held at St. Columbkille Catholic Parish, 12171 Iona Road Fort Myers, FL 33908. Vigil Service/visitation will be on Thursday March 5th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, March 6th at 10:30 am; interment will be at a later date at New St. Mary's Cemetery in Bellmar, NJ.
