

Leona T. Leno, 93, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. Born on April 4, 1932, in Beverly, Massachusetts, Leona lived a long and meaningful life defined by her devotion to family, faith, and service to others.
Leona dedicated many years of her professional life as an accountant for Turner Steel in Middleboro, Massachusetts, where she was known for her diligence, integrity, and strong work ethic.
A devout Catholic, Leona’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She generously gave her time volunteering in various capacities at St. Raphael Catholic Church, reflecting her deep commitment to her community and her unwavering belief in helping others.
Leona will be remembered most as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kindness, strength, and nurturing spirit touched all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry R. Leno Sr.; her son, Mario C. Leno; and her sister, Laura Collins.
Leona is survived by her children, Henry R. Leno Jr. (Silvana) and Mary A. Leno; her son-in-law, Michael Bertrand; her grandchildren, Henry M. Leno (Leanne), Steven M. Leno and Sean Bertrand; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Greyson Leno, Autumn Leno and Julian Bertrand. She is also survived by her sisters, Esther Palardi and Stella Kramer, along with extended family and dear friends.
An inurnment service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 FL-82, Fort Myers, Florida 33913.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Leona’s memory to Saint John XXIII Catholic Church in Fort Myers, Florida.
Leona’s legacy of love, faith, and dedication to family will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
