Marcelino Robles Aguayo

Born on July 17, 1939, in Tepuzhuacan, Nayarit, Mexico, Marcelino lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and meaningful friendships. He was the beloved son of the late Librada Aguayo and Pedro Robles and was one of nine siblings.

Marcelino dedicated more than 40 years of his career as an airline technician with Avi Bank in Burbank, California, where he earned the respect of his colleagues through his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic before retiring.

Family was the center of Marcelino’s life. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Isabel Guzman; his children, Armando, Fortino, Francisco, Patricia, Maria, Marcelino, and Alicia; 25 cherished grandchildren; and 9 beloved great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lucila, his wife, Maria De Jesus Gutierrez Robles, and his parents, Librada Aguayo and Pedro Robles.

Marcelino was known for his warm personality and his love of staying connected with those he cared about. He enjoyed spending time talking with family and friends, sharing stories, and keeping in touch with loved ones near and far. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he took great joy in being part of their lives. In his spare time, he enjoyed treasure hunting with his metal detector and could often be recognized by his signature saguayo hat and leather sandals, which reflected his humble and authentic spirit.

His legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park in Fort Myers, Florida. Following the visitation, Marcelino will be transported to his beloved hometown of Tepuzhuacan, Nayarit, Mexico, where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Maria De Jesus Gutierrez Robles, at Panteón Ejidal Ejido de Tepuzhuacan.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their prayers, support, and condolences during this difficult time.

“El Cadenas” will be remembered for his enduring love of family, his friendly conversations, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
