It is strange to think that I could feel so connected with a woman I actually never met in person. I was Margaret's insurance agent, and helped her get life insurance. Since I live in Fort Lauderdale, I don't know how we actually came to talk on the phone for the first time in August 2015, but she was a delight. It was the beginning of a friendship. She spoke lovingly about her daughters, and she wanted to make sure that all expenses were taken care of.  I don't want this to sound like a commercial even though it might, but this shows where Margaret's heart was. She chose Foresters because she appreciated the community service aspects they offer as a fraternal benefit society, and after enrolling in her Forester's life insurance, she became a Branch Councilor volunteer for the Independent Order of Foresters. Her responsibilities were important to her and she took great pride in her position.  I know her family will miss her, I will miss our yearly talks. I am happy though that I was able to help her financially prepare for this day.  My condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.
