OBITUARY

Margaret Irene Grbich

August 11, 1933August 15, 2019

Margarte Grbich age 86, of Ft Myers passed way on August 15, 2019. She was born to Victor and Julia Grbich (nee Klinko) on August 11, 1933 in her hometown of Oxford, NJ. Both of her parents were born in Hunagry.

Margaret was a weather observer in the US Air Force. She served time as a Flordia deputy sheriff also. Growing up she was on the softball team in high school.

She was an avid sports fan - the professionals and radio broadcasters called her from time to time. She was on the US Air Force baseball team. When she was stationed in Germany the military flew her home to play in the US. Margaret enjoyed playing tennis up until a year ago.

Margaret was always protective of her younger sibling Shirley. If anyone bullied Shirley, no one messed with Margaret, she would beat them up!

Above all Margaret was a dedicated, devout, and holy Catholic.

https://www.aggman.com/pennsylvania-town-dedicates-memorial-to-31-quarry-workers-killed-in-1942-blast/ IN MY LAST POST I MENTIONED MARGARET'S FATHER BEING KILLED IN SOME KIND OF EXPLOSION OR BLAST....IT WAS A QUARRY BLAST. I LOOKED IT UP ONCE FOR MARGARET AND SHE WAS SHOCKED THAT I FOUND IT ONLINE. I DECIDED TO TRY AND FIND IT TONIGHT AND I DID....THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE IT ON HERE. MARGARET PROBABLY WAS ABOUT 11 YEARS OLD. WENT TO MARGARET'S MASS THIS MORNING. IT WAS VERY NICE. I WILL NEVER FORGET MARGARET...SUCH A NICE PERSON......8/20/19 (you can read about quarry exploision by clicking on website at top)

We will all miss Margaret. She was a very special person, always kind and always generous. She had a great big sweet smile too. She loved tennis and I know she was a great golfer at one time....just visit Eastwood Golf Course and see her name on a few plaques on the wall there for being top lady golfer of the year. I know that she loved children as she often spoke of her love for them. She told me once how she lost her dad at a very young age in some kind of mine or work explosion where many were killed. I even looked it up online and found an article about it and sent it to her. I can speak for our whole group of tennis players WE ALL LOVED MARGARET........Rutenberg Tennis Gang from Fort Myers, FL
