Margie Virginia Wilson

Margie W. Wilson, 91, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019. Margie was born in Chester, SC to Jim and Fanny Warmoth. She grew up in a Christian home and continued in that faith all her life. Margie has been a member of Cypress Lake United Methodist Church since 2002 and was very active in United Methodist Women.

Margie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics at Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina. She earned a Master’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Margie taught for many years in private and public schools in South Carolina and Florida. She also taught Sunday School and Bible School in the many churches she attended.

Margie and her husband, Frank, traveled to many different countries and enjoyed meeting people of other cultures. She enjoyed reading, working crossword and jigsaw puzzles; and beaches, especially Sanibel. Margie enjoyed knitting and decorating Christmas stockings (over 200) for family and friends; and sewing, making clothes for herself and her children. She enjoyed watching football. Her favorite quarterbacks are Joe Montana and Peyton Manning and her favorite coach, Tony Dungy. She was a loyal fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers…win or lose.

Margie is survived by a son, Paul L. Wilson (Vickie); daughter, Anita Wilson-Cameron (Harry); grandchildren, Josh Wilson (Emerald), Nathan M. Wilson (Kara), Paul F. Wilson (Lisa) and Amanda Kawecki (Todd); great-grandchildren, Nathan, Zoey, Luke, Levi and Wyatt; sister, Peggy Propst; brother, Bob Warmoth; step-brother, Donald Grant; brother-in-law, Ray Burke (Barbara); and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.

A Memorial Celebration will be held in the chapel of Cypress Lake United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 27th at 2:00 PM.
