Michael loved working for South Florida Milling where he made many new friends. That is where he met his bosses, Jay and Danny, who became his friends and mentors. He was an extremely hard worker. Michael was a gamer and chess master who enjoyed watching basketball. He was a good son and a great, funny brother that was supportive of his loved ones. The thing he enjoyed the most was being a father.
Michael is survived by his mother, Claudia Ortega; significant other, Johanna Mendieta; son, Melvin Josiah Godoy; sisters: Melanie and Michelle Godoy; niece and nephews: Yulani, Santanna, Shiloh and Tigre; grandfather, Servando Ortega; sister-in-law, Poulina; aunts: Yamilet, Indira, Ingrid and Mileyda, many cousins and his dog, Albondiga. He was preceded in death by his father, Miguel Angel Godoy.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 22nd at Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park from 1:30 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:30 pm.
