

The family moved to Pensacola when she was 4 years old and she lived there until she met, Harry Flint, a Lee County native serving in the US Navy. They married in 1946. They lived on Homestead Rd, which later became Lehigh Acres, for 65 ½ years until Harry’s death in 2011. Bea continued to live on the homesteaded property until June of 2016. She was a farmer and ranchers wife and together they raised six children. She was a great cook and loved to can vegetables and was known for making her famous guava marmalade. She loved to crochet, cross stitch, and sew. She devoted her entire life to her family. She drove for the Lee County School System from 1962 to 1972.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harry and daughter Wanda Flint Huddleston and granddaughter, Amanda Flint and her sisters, Johnnie Jordan and Martha Bagley and brothers Ishmael Paul and Dan Paul.
She is survived by her loving and caring 5 children and their spouses, Ronnie Flint (Joy), Roger Flint (Gem), Sandra Walworth (Larry), Martha Ahern (Robert), Norma Jean Padgett (Lonnie), 16 Grandchildren, 39 Great-grandchildren, and 14 Great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 brothers, Allen Paul, Bruce Wiggins, James W. Wiggins, and Bobby Wiggins (Charlene), sister-in-laws, Alecia Flint, Mildred Hodges and Clara Brown, Brother-in-law, David Flint and wife Peggy and many loving nieces and nephews.
Service will be held by Hodges Funeral Home at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Rd 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913 on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 11am. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home 1 hour prior. Interment will follow in Lee Memorial Park Cemetery.
Service officiated by her nephew, Pastor Bronc Flint and cousin Pastor Norman Walker.
Pallbearers will be seven of her grandsons: Alan Flint, Andy Flint, Randy Santerfeit, Robbie Ahern, Roy Bridges, Jimmy Flint and Jeffrey Flint. Honorary pallbearers are grandsons Paul Bridges and Matt Flint.
The Family wishes to thank Torreka White and her staff of Hope Hospice at Discovery Village at the Forum along with the entire staff at Discovery for the wonderful care given by all to Bea for the last year. In addition thanks to Right at Home in Home Care and Assistance and a very special thank you to Lehigh Hope Hospice for the special care given in her final days.
