Otho Calvin “Cal” Parker, 89, of Fort Myers, Florida passed into eternal life on Sept 17, 2018. Cal was born on January 25, 1929 to Otho and Olga Parker and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Cal married and raised his family in Schiller Park, IL retiring later in life to Fort Myers Florida. Cal served in the Korean War and was a member of Korean War Veterans #155 of SW Florida. He loved living in Fort Myers and learned to sail in his 70’s. He enjoyed woodworking, oil painting and drawing cartoons. Cal had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making his friends laugh with his silly jokes.
He is survived by his wife, Motoko Walz. He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Humpeler Parker and survived by their children Gregg (Anna) Parker and Sandy (Dave) Nielsen. He was also preceded in death by his wife Barbara (Ruggiero) Parker and survived by her children, Steve (Myra) Ruggiero, Kim (Ralph) Sieber, Chele (Steve) Howard and Lisa (Ken) Colwell. He was a proud grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 13.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Interment will be in the memorial garden of St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Fort Myers, Florida.
