She was born to Fred and Alvena Mosley in Fort Meade, Florida. She graduated from Fort Myers High School in 1959 and started at the telephone company the following Tuesday. Years later, while working at the telephone company, she met the love of her life, Charlie Hopper. Twelve years later, she became a stay-at-home mom. Patsy started working at Sunshine Elementary as a teacher's aide. She loved working with children. After retirement, Patsy and Charlie traveled the country, proud that they'd gone to all fifty states.
Patsy was a beloved mother, Meme, and great grandmother. Patsy was one of the kindest people in the world, but not only that she was also quick-witted, and smart. Her love of knowledge and people is something many knew and loved her for. Patsy had the best laugh in any room, and a smile that made others smile. She was the life of the party. Time was always well spent with her, and all that know her would say the same thing. She told extraordinary stories, knew how long to hug someone for, always had food in the fridge, and at any time of the day knew how to make people feel welcome and loved.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie Hopper; and their two beautiful children, Lisa (Vincent) Hopper Bodnar and Carlton (Nicole) Hopper; her 5 grandchildren, Taylor (Mark) Hopper Davis, Emily Bodnar, Tanner Hopper, Eric Bodnar, and Megan (Bronson) Smith; 5 great grandchildren; her siblings, Peggy Howell and Pansy (Charles) Dickson, and her beloved nieces and nephews.
After 81 years of love and service, Patsy Hopper, is finally at rest after a battle with Alzheimer's disease. The love she gave others, will keep her memory alive. Rest in Peace and Love.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.leememorialparkfuneralhome.com for the Hopper family.
