Phillip Elden Hahn

Phillip E. Hahn, born July 22, 1934, lived a life defined by hard work, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that shaped his days. After 70 years of marriage, he leaves behind his beloved wife, Karen Hahn, whose partnership and companionship were the foundation of his life.

He is survived by his three daughters, Pamela Ohl (Ken Ohl) of Sanibel, Robin Cook (Doug Cook) of Sanibel, and Susan Hahn of Hawaii. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jamie Nettesheim and Heather Gonzalez, and his great-grandchildren Ella, Oliver, and Kiera.

Phill grew up in Clinton, Wisconsin, where he worked alongside his parents, Arabella and Elden Hahn, his wife Karen, his daughters, and dedicated staff in the family-owned grocery store. His work ethic was steady and unwavering, shaped by long days. Before settling into family life, Phill served proudly in the United States Navy and spent his youth racing motorcycles and nurturing a lifelong love of cars.

Seeking warmth and adventure, Phill began bringing his family to Sanibel Island during the cold Wisconsin winters. Those vacations eventually became a permanent move around 1980, when Sanibel became home. There, he embraced the island's quiet beauty, spending his days fishing, shelling, and enjoying the peaceful rhythm of coastal life.

Phill's legacy lives on in the family he cherished.
