Richard Hartford Kolb

Died June 29, 2016 in Ft Myers, FL

He dearly loved his wife Silvia, his children Kathleen (Jim) Lehman, Karin (Dan) Goepp, Richard, Jr. (Marsha) and Suzanne (Ed) Allen, his 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Born on October 4, 1934 in Wilmette, IL to Joseph and Evelyn (McCarthy) Kolb. The youngest of seven children, he is survived by sisters Mina Kolb McMurray and Joan Kolb Hile and is preceded in death by his sister Evelyn Jones, and brothers Gerald, Frank and Edward.

He served on many civic, charitable and government boards, including the Glenview Park District and Rotary. He was a CPA and one of the founders of the accounting firm Chunowitz, Kolb, Teitelbaum and Baerson of Northbrook, Il. He was also a principal in the Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Ft Myers, FL and part owner of numerous McDonald’s franchises in McHenry County IL.

He was a reflection of his beloved mother, Evelyn McCarthy Kolb, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

There will be a celebration of his life at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libertyville, IL on August 6, 2016 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of Flowers a donation may be made to Ronald McDonald Charities of Southwest Florida, 16100 Roserush Ct., Ft Myers, FL 33908
