Richard August Lambrigger, age 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, FL. He was born January 26, 1930 in Chicago, IL to August and Anna (Bregi) Lambrigger.
Rich was a 1948 graduate of St. Ignatius High School in Chicago, IL. He married Arlene H. Gayton on July 19, 1998 in Oak Lawn, IL. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for the United States Postal Service in Oak Lawn, IL until he retired at the age of 62. He was actively involved with St. Linus Church in Oak Lawn, IL and later in Fort Myers with the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord, St. Vincent de Paul and the Knights of Columbus.
Rich is survived by his wife, Arlene; stepchildren, Diane (Steve), Judy (Rick), Kathy (Kevin), Robert (Cindy), Peter (Jen) and Michael (Candace); 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
All family and friends whose lives were touched by Rich are invited to attend the celebration mass of his life at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord at 8121 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919 which will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at 10:00 AM.
