

Ronda Sue Click Garner, age 62, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. She was born April 28, 1962 to William Ronnie (Ron) Click and Wanda Joyce (Skeans) Click at Mercy Hospital in Portsmouth, Ohio. Ronda attended Portsmouth City Schools and was a graduate of Portsmouth East High School Class of 1980. After initially attending Cedarville College, Ronda received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Ohio University along with a Master’s in Education from Walden University. Educating children and shaping lives was her passion for more than 36 years at Canterbury School in Fort Myers.
Having met in Ohio in 1986, Ronda married Gary Ray Garner on December 17, 1988 in Islamorada, Florida. From this union was born a cherished daughter, Makenzie Anne.
Preceding Ronda in death were her parents, Ron and Wanda, and her husband, Gary.
Ronda is survived by her daughter Makenzie (Thai) Nguyen-Garner, step-sons Brent Garner and Christopher (Anna) Garner; a sister Cheryl (Wade) Herzog, brothers Terry (Patty) Click and Kevin (Wael) Click along with loving aunts, uncles, cousins, step-grandchildren and friends.
Ronda is also survived by her ‘village’ of chosen family with whom she shared a most wonderful life. Ronda leaves an impact and legacy of education with many Canterbury families in the Fort Myers area, along with her dedication to the community through her work with Nations Association. She is deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to either the Lustgarten Foundation, the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, the American Cancer Society or any other cancer charity of your choosing.
A memorial visitation for Ronda will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919.
