Janie was born on November 29, 1959, in Hidalgo, Texas, to Crispin and Maria Tovar. She graduated from Immokalee High School in 1978 and married the love of her life, Eulalio Perez Jr., on May 28, 1979. She dedicated much of her career to caring for patients at a local nursing home, where her compassion and kindness touched the lives of many.
Janie is survived by her devoted husband, Eulalio Perez Jr.; her son, Eulalio Jason Perez (Alexandra); and her nine beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Oona Perez, and by her parents, Crispin and Maria Tovar.
Private services will be held for Janie and her family.
