Teresa “Terry” Arenholz (Purtell, Ortiz), born January 13, 1943, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth, humor, and generosity touched all who knew her.
Terry was the proud mother of four children: Carl Ortiz (deceased), Louise Ortiz (Les), Teri-Ann Sieradzki (Ron), and Richard Ortiz (Tammy). She was a cherished grandmother to 12 grandchildren and a beloved great-grandmother to 21 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Known for her infectious laughter, Terry found joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially doing crossword puzzles and watching her favorite television shows on the Hallmark Channel and Columbo. She was also deeply committed to giving back to her community and volunteered for numerous events at the American Legion.
Born in the Bronx, New York, Terry married her first husband, Carl Ortiz (deceased), and later married Herb Arenholz (deceased). Together with Herb, she made a home in Pennsylvania before retiring and relocating to Fort Myers, Florida.
One of thirteen siblings, Terry grew up in a large family that helped shape her strong spirit, resilience, and lifelong devotion to family. She will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, her humor, and the enduring legacy of love she leaves behind.
