Dear is hard to imagine a world without your physical presence...this community took you for granted-we always thought you would be were one of the first people I met when I moved to Fort Myers 20 years ago back in 1997. For all these years, I have seen you live your life bravely and and as your own kind! I could not have been easy and you will be missed. I remember bringing in the new millennium with you on New Years Eve 2000..and there were soon many wonderful halloweens, thanksgivings and birthdays throughout these last 2 decades. You brought smiles and laughter to many.
It is so sad the the Queen of TBL has passed. And how how strange that your passing is not long after that historic nightclub in Fort Myers closed its doors forever back in 2017. RIP in Paradise sweet angel xoxo

I remember One night, it was just the two of us... laughing and giggling and all of a sudden I got serious and asked you to forgive me, and you being you brushed it off, and I repeated it again.. Then I took your hand and said I need you to forgive me ..and you said what for ? and I replied I don't know yet..but I need you to forgive me now before it happens ..and you said I forgive you girl.. with that loving kind heart, The Last time I saw your face.. I reminded you of that, and we Drifted away like ships in the sea, I forgive you too my loving friend, And I know now your happy with your Mother <3

I will always hold you in my Heart

Miss Vanessa,

You were a very unique and special individual. You touched so many lives with your presence, personality and smile. I only got to meet you a few times, but I will remember you until my day comes. R.I.P. Miss V, your impact on our community will never be forgotten. May you be entertaining all those in Heaven and making your presence known. Because we truly lost an angel here on earth when we lost you. May you look down upon us and smile as we continue to remember you and continue your legacy within the community.

Miss Vanessa
I first met you when I was 18. You made a wonderful impression on a young girl, who really didnt know much about the lgbtq sence in Fort Myers. You were always so happy and pleasant when I saw you at Walgreens with your Hello Darlin. We didn't keep in touch, but when we met again you still remembered me thank you. And then again the first time I performed at Tubbys you came up to me afterwards and told me I did a great job for this I could never thank you enough. With your smiles and huggs you made everyone you met feel special. It was truly and honor to grace the stage with you countless times. God bless you Miss V and Thank you my love!

I also had the honor of working with you at TBL, Vanessa you were always caring, respectful and had a great humor. You lifted me up when I was down and I did the same to you. You made fun of my Spanish Accent!!! I will miss that.
I remember you would call me The Golden Boy when we worked at The Bottom Line because I never got in trouble at work LOL...
I bar-tended in several places and you were a great friend and never asked me for anything free and you took care of me very well.
I love you my friend and I will miss you!!!!

You were the first person I met when I moved to Fort Myers. I'm so glad you were.
You showed me kindness, care, concern, compassion, and complete acceptance.
You invited me to your Thanksgiving get together my first year away from home to make sure I felt included and not lonely.
You showed me how wonderful it can be to live a life being 100% authentic without any excuses or explanations. I love you for that, and will always miss seeing your beautiful smile.
Anyone that met you loved you, and will miss you so much.
Oh, by the way, loved that you talked me into trying those Collard Greens; I loved them so much you made sure I got all the leftovers.
