Vivian Irene Denney, age 88, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020, in her home in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Vivian was born at home in Lyons, Ohio on October 23, 1931 to Frank H. and Hazel E. (Skates) Miller. Vivian was the fifth of six children. She married Elvia “Milo” Denney in Adrian, Michigan on October 27, 1951 and Milo preceded her in death on June 14, 2016. Her second marriage was to Forrest Denney in Fairfield, Michigan on October 7, 1966 and he preceded her in death as well on June 8, 1999. Vivian loved children. She always intended on having an even dozen, but settled with six. Vivian was a homemaker all of her life. Her home was always open to children, both relatives and neighbors. She adored children and always enjoyed taking care of them. There were always lots of playmates running around the house. Vivian influenced the lives of the many children she cared for over the years. Vivian was very frugal and knew how to pinch her pennies. She passed that trait down to all of her children. Vivian gave all of her children a leg up in life by teaching them morals, the golden rule, and to maintain a positive attitude in all circumstances. Vivian was a devout Christian all of her life and was baptized in 1944. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, baking, collecting pictures, reading, and working jigsaw and puzzle books. Vivian always took her role as mother as her most important job in life and taught all of her offspring a deep sense of responsibility and ownership for their own lives. Vivian passed away in her sleep at her home, which is exactly what she had prayed would happen.
Vivian is survived by her brother Archie Miller of Lyons, Ohio. Cherishing her memory are her children Victor Denney, Chad (Lan) Denney, Lizabeth Denney, Brandon Denney, Karen Denney, and Todd (Kathy) Denney and grandchildren, Chad Denney Jr., Lida Asuquo, Nicole Gugler, Jason Wincelowicz, Todd Denney Jr., Michael Wincelowicz, Marcie Denney, Adrian Glossenger, Casey Denney, Candice Wincelowicz, Erin Glossenger, Sky Drake, Mindy Wincelowicz, Samantha Denney, Summer Drake, Spring Drake, Larry Wincelowicz, Jessica Denney, and Conner Denney.
