Wilbur “Ike” Eichler, 73, of Lehigh Acres passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 16, 1946. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lehigh Acres, The American Legion, the VFW, the Moose, and Disabled American Veterans. He was a US Navy veteran who served in Vietnam as a Navy Corpsman attached to the Marines. Ike attended Iowa Wesleyen University prior to serving in Vietnam. He later completed his A.A. degree at Anne Arundel Community College. He was actively involved with the PTA while his daughters were in school and was a volunteer coach for high school and college basketball programs.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Dorothy Eichler, and his brothers, Bill and Bob Eichler. Ike is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his children: Lisa (Peter) Smith, Holli (Rick) Carullo, Katie (Stevie) Sullivan and Suzanne Eichler; his grandchildren: Alaina Smith, Patrick Smith, Julia Smith, Noah Carullo and Jeramy Carullo; his sister Sally Kaltenbach and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
