Andrew D. O'Neal

Andrew Denis O’Neal, affectionately known as “Lil Bit,” passed away on August 23, 2026, in Titusville, Florida, at the age of 86. He was born on July 10, 1940, in Wacissa, Florida.

Andy lived a life filled with love, laughter, adventure, family, and faith. He was a proud man who served his country in both the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps. His military service was an important part of his life, reflecting the strength, determination, and

courage he carried with him throughout the years.

Andy was a small man with a mighty spirit. He was witty, stubborn, strong-minded, and full of life. He never met a stranger and had a way of leaving an impression on everyone he encountered. His humor, his stories, his strong personality, and his unmistakable way of looking at life will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Andy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda O’Neal, and several siblings.

He leaves behind his children; Andrea (Janson) Egloff, Michael Ellis, Chris (Becky) Ellis and Charlie (Stephanie) O’Neal.

He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of his love and legacy with them.

Andy enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting, and treasure hunting, always enjoying the excitement of being outdoors and discovering something new. He especially loved sharing the fruits of his hard work and adventures with his family, friends, and neighbors. Whether it was a fresh catch from a day of fishing or something he had grown in his garden, Andy took pride in giving to others and making sure those around him could enjoy what he had.

He also had a lifelong love for cats, which held a special place in his heart. His love for them was just another reflection of the softer side of Andy—the side that found joy in the simple things and in caring for the creatures around him.

Above all, Andy loved the Lord Jesus. His faith was an important part of who he was, and we find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and in the presence of the Lord.

Andy leaves behind much more than memories. He leaves behind a family who loved him, stories that will be told for generations, lessons learned from his life, and countless moments that will bring smiles even through the tears.

He may have been known as “Lil Bit,” but there was nothing little about the mark he left on the people who loved him.

Rest easy, Lil Bit.

You lived life your way, loved your family, served your country, and kept your faith.

You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
