Carl was a United States Army veteran, serving in World War II. Prior to retirement, he worked for the New York City police dept.
Carl was a volunteer at Indian River Medical Center and he was a member of the NYPD Fleet Service Retiree Association and the Sundancers Radio Control Club in Port St Lucie, FL.
Survivors include, son Carl G. Saporiti, of Jamestown, NC, daughters, Janet Lunghi, of Apex, NC and Lorraine Pollani, of Long Island, NY and 6 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL. A mass of Christian burial will be at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach, FL at 10:00am with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
