May God bless Elder Chads family. He will be trully missed. Whenever i saw him at church he always had a smile on his face that would light up a room. He trully will be missed. A wonderful man of God.

I met Chad while working at MSD. He was a great boss and a even greater friend. When I left MSD we kept in touch but lost contact with each other sometime last year. I never knew that he was sick and if I did, I would have been at his side every step of the way. I will miss him dearly! I wish his family the best in their time of need.

Chad Rivas was one of the most God fearing man that I have come in contact with during my walk in the ministry. You made me change the way I live this Christian life. As a co-worker and friend it was not uncommon to receive a phone call out of the blue to see how things were going and to catch up on our walk with Christ. He always had a way of leaving the conversation on a positive and inspiring note. Chad you will be greatly missed but I know that we will meet again and know that we have your family in our prayers.

When my Wife and I first heard about Chad's condition last month, we sent him an email that we were keeping him in our prayers.  We received a sincere thank you response in barely 2 hours.  I am not sure if the quick responder was Chad and/or family, but the message was as it was typical of Chad when Chad was my Manager at MSD and when I introduced him to my Wifegratitude, respect, and professionalism in his interactions with others.

To the Rivas family, we are very sad to hear about Chad he was a great guy.  We haven't seen you folks in years, but had great times bowling in Key West with your family and our family when we were younger. Our condolences.

Chad was a remarkable friend, coworker, manager, husband, and father.  Most importantly, he a devoted follower of our Lord Jesus Christ.  I will miss you my friend but I know that I'll see you again!

I have known Chad for just a little over a year but from the first time I met him he treated me with respect and professionalism and welcomed me to the Piedmont family. He will be missed tremendously but his wisdom and courage will live on. I am truly saddened by his passing and my deepest sympathy go out to his family.
