On October 22, 2020 Christine went to her heavenly home. Succumbed to her two year battle of NET’s lung cancer at Cleveland Clinic of Vero Beach, FL.
She is preceded in death by a daughter Hannah, also, her father WM.O. McGhee Jr., of VA. Her mother-in-law Carol Davis Cole of FL.
Paternal grandparents WM.O. And Mattie Wade McGhee Sr.
Maternal grandparents John and Ruth Allen – Arnette. All of VA.
Step grandparents Clyde and Nella Lucas Bennett of W.VA.
Christine native of Virginia was a 15 year resident of Vero Beach, FL. Where she shared a home with her husband of 26 years, Don E. and daughter Catlyn B. Cole.
Also survived by, her mother and dad.
Cynthia A. and Rexford G. Bennett of Sebastian, FL.
Brother, Scott McGhee of Chesterfield, VA. Nephews Austin and Hunter.
Niece Lily and nephew Luke McGhee (Ashley)
Father-in-law Jon Cole, brother-in-law Ron and (Terry) all of Kissimmee, FL. Several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Numerous friends.

Christine lived, loved by the Lords words.
She fed the hungry, clothed the naked, sheltered the homeless, loved the unlovable and a mother to the motherless.
This was very evident by her community service works from Virginia to Florida. Sebastian, Vero Beach, Fellsmere, and Brevard County. Her name was synonymous with charitable work. Winning many “Earthly Awards”, as she would say, ‘For doing what is right?” She was humbled by it all.
Christine was a 1983 graduate of Hopewell High School.
Earned a Bachelor’s degree in art at VCU. Held a degree in Med/DDS of VA.
Held Masters Computer Science. (IT Guru)
Was the family support leader for the 54th QTR.Master.Co. At Ft. Lee, VA.
Children’s outreach leader for Central VA. Safety Council.
Lifetime member and past President of Sebastian VFW, winning many accolades for the Auxiliary.
Member of the Military Order of Cooties with honored degrees.
Member and Officer of American Legion Post 189 / and LE Femme member of Post 117 of Palm Bay, FL.
Lifetime member of Women of the Moose. Held Academy of Friendship, Star Recorder, College of Regents Degrees, was chosen Moose International co-worker of the year three times.
Co-Leader 4H Sports Shooting of Indian River County.
Avid supporter of animal rights. Her paw babies Dixie Larue, Bach, Grand paw baby Sukie. Will miss their special treats.
Christine will be missed by many that loved her much, her smile would lighten the darkest night.
She would want all to remember, until we see each other again, “Faith as a grain of mustard seed.”
