Claude was born in Langston, AL, he grew up in Scottsboro, AL and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 21 years coming from Huntsville, AL.
Claude served in the US Army.
Prior to retirement, Claude worked as a Supervisor for the US Post Office for 38 years. He was a member of the NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees) and he was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Vero Beach, FL.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendelyn Jones, of Vero Beach; daughter, Claudia Ann Jones, of Miami, FL and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Sybil Money, Veda Ashmore, Martha J. Wall and Ginger Bryant.
A visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Friday, June 12, 2015 with a service at 2:00pm at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL.
