Daniel J. “Dan” Kenney, 79, originally from Arlington, MA, died following complications from illness on September 29, 2016 in Fort Pierce, FL where he enjoyed his golden years. Dan attended Norwich University, served in the Army 7th cavalry, stationed in Erlangen, Germany and was honorably discharged. His long career as a ship broker was able to fulfill his passion for travel overseas to many foreign destinations. He is survived by his four children, Susanne Dettinger-Klemm & husband Eckehard of Munich, Germany, Michele Garner & husband Allen of Avon, CO, Christina Atkinson of Fishers, IN and Christopher Kenney of Stamford, CT. He also leaves behind, Barbara Kenney of Centerville, MA (mother of his 4 Children) and 4 Grandchildren - Kathleen Dettinger-Klemm, Daniel Dettinger-Klemm, Patrick Dettinger-Klemm and Nicolas Atkinson. He will be missed by many friends in FL, MA & overseas. Service to be held on October 14th at 11:00am at Aycock Funeral Home located at 6026 North US Hwy. 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946.
