Mrs. Bird was born on September 3, 1950 in Florence, Alabama and was the eldest of two children. Mrs. Bird graduated with a Nursing degree from Phil Campbell in 1975.
Mrs. Bird is survived by her mother Rubye Mabry, Madison, Alabama and her daughter Stacy McCoy, Meridianville, Alabama. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Bird, her father J. E. Mabry, and her brother Jimmy Mabry.
A memorial service will be held at Belmor Baptist church on Saturday March 3, 2012 between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. A graveside service will be held at a later date for family and close friends.
