

Eleanor was born in Patterson, NJ and had been a resident of Fort Pierce coming from Pompton Lakes, NJ.
Prior to retirement Eleanor worked as a chemical explosive mechanic for Dupont in Pompton Lakes, NJ for 13 years.
Eleanor was a member of Harbor Branch Oceanographic. She was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Fort Pierce, FL.
She is survived by her sons, John (Jack) Eckert, of Orlando, FL, Charles Eckert, of Bloomfield, CO, Steven Eckert, of Nashville, TN; daughter, Virginia Detro, of Lafayette, CO, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John Jack Eckert.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. An Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL.
