

Francis was born in Tarrytown, NY and had been a resident of Fort Pierce. He was a graduate of Blessed Sacrament High School in New Rochelle, NY.
Francis was in the US Navy Reserves.
Prior to retirement, Francis was a site engineer for Con Edison. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks Club, American Legion, Con Edison Retirees Club, Tarrytown Boat Club, and the Pelican Yacht Club. He was also the chairman of the golf committee and a member of the POA Board of Directors at Ocean Village.
Survivors include his sisters, Ann M. Maccabee, Patricia Banning; brother, Michael Quain, sister in laws, Carol Quain, Eileen Emery, Mary Beth Stiglin, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Joan and brother, Charles Gavin Quain. He was the son of the late Francis X and Mary G. Quain.
A visitation will be held 2-6pm on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL. A Funeral Mass be held 10:30am on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Notre Dame Catholic Mission in Fort Pierce, FL. There will be a graveside service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY at 11:00am on Thursday, June 12, 2014.
