

George A. Springer Jr. 90, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away peacefully at Treasure Coast Hospice on March 25th, 2026 after a short illness. He is predeceased by his wife Geraldine and his parents George Sr. and Theresa, also his sister Patricia Pendergast of Cresskill, New Jersey. He is survived by his daughter Anita Kochis (Gabe) of Flanders, New Jersey and David Springer (Steve) of Cape Coral, Florida. Also survived by his grandchildren, Michael Kochis and Christina Kochis of New Jersey along with two stepdaughters, Betty Hunter and Terry Tyner of New York State.
George worked for many years for the Department of Defense in Maryland and also spent a few years in Germany in defense logistics. He was also in the Army reserve for many years, retiring as a Sergeant Major.
After retirement George moved to Fort Pierce, Florida where he volunteered at the Manatee Center, putting in over 7000 hours of time. He greatly enjoyed his time there. In his free time you could always find a fishing pole in his hand, he would never pass up an opportunity to go fishing.
Visitation will be held at Aycock Funeral Home, 6026 N US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946, US, on March 30, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
