She was born in Brooklyn, New York. Gladys has been a resident of Vero Beach, Florida for 35 years coming from New Jersey.
Gladys was a homemaker and an active member and volunteer at the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Vero Beach, Fl.
Survivors include her daughter, Gayla McGoldrick of Evergreen, CO, son Glenn Risedorf of Vero Beach, FL, step sons Richard Monroe of Vero Beach, FL; Michael Monroe of Marmora, NJ; and James R. Monroe of Melbourne Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and 7 step great grandchildren.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Robert H. Monroe.
A graveside service will be held on Friday February 8th, 2013 at 2:00pm at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, FL.
