Uncle ja. You were the best uncle anyone could ever ask for. We always had a great time together. We had a Friday night ritual to buy chicken supreme pizza extra sauce the way you liked it! We made plans almost every weekend both Saturday and Sunday to hit the water on the pontoon! We would go to little Jim’s on the water, and they had the best pulled pork bbq sandwich’s and we would eat that for lunch! Another favorite memory of mine is sitting in bed with you on my summer break watching the young and restless and the bold and beautiful with you!! You were so loved uncle ja! I will miss you but I Am so glad you are with aunt lee now.

As a child Uncle Ja was a larger than life man. From his wheelchair he showed me love, happiness, courage, and my absolute favorite was his humor.
I couldn’t help but smile when I was around him.
Once when I was maybe 10 years old I stepped out their back door and there was Uncle Ja face down in their pool. I immediately bolted back in the house and yelled to Aunt Lee that Uncle Ja had fallen in the pool! Aunt Lee with her beautiful smile simply told me he was swimming. We walked outside and that’s when I noticed the snorkel and mask. That’s when Uncle Ja’s superhero status skyrocketed even higher for me.
I know Uncle Ja and Aunt Lee are walking hand in hand with family in tow laughing and smiling.
God bless,
Casey Sauer

I'd like to say how I'm so sorry for your loss of a Wonderful person.
I came to know Jay through my brothers Arnie & Bob Cox. My mom Juanita at one time was his care taker for him.
I wasn't around Jay much but I came to visit for a week and Jay was very nice and welcomed me into his home. He was very inspiring to me as he wouldn't let anything get him down and he strived to keep going and living each day to his fullest. He was a Great man and friend.
His family is in my prayers.
My family and relatives will miss you Jay and was so thankful to have known you as they loved him, and had the utmost respect for him.

Thank you, Jay, for your big heart and your kindness. I will miss our talks and your stories. I feel that I only scratched the surface with the stories. I've never met a Marine that wasn't brimming with them.
Semper Fi my friend, thanks for your help and your company. I'll see you on Fiddler's Green.
