Born in St. Augustine, FL he was a fourth generation Florida resident. During his early years, he was a cowboy in the Fellsmere, Fort Pierce, FL area.
Survivors include, sons, Joseph Carson Drawdy, of TN and Myron Randall, of TN, daughter, Lillie Collier and husband Jim, of Denham Springs, LA, brother, Morris Drawdy and wife Josephine, of Fort Pierce, FL and nephew, Laine Drawdy, of Fort Pierce, FL, 2 grandchildren, Dr. J. Jason Collier and Sarah Collier, 1 great granddaughter, Bella Claire Collier and he is predeceased by his son Clay Michael Drawdy.
Joseph was a United States Marine Corp veteran, for over 20 years, serving in the Korean conflict and Vietnam War. Following his Military career he was an engineer for Seaboard Rail Road for many years.
