Joseph Mezzina

Born in Venice, Italy, he has been a resident of Vero Beach, FL for the past 40 years, formerly of Bayside Queens, NY.

Prior to retirement, he worked in the food import business for 30 years, in Queens, NY, and he was a former home builder in Vero Beach, FL. He lived the American dream by moving to the United States in 1947. Joseph was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach, FL.

Survivors include, wife of 60 years, Grace Mezzina, of Vero Beach, FL, sons, Frank Mezzina, of Vero Beach, FL and Joseph Mezzina, of Tallahassee, FL, sisters, Mina, Yolanda, Italia and Loredana, brothers, Stefano and Nunzio. He was predeceased by brother, Michael.

Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice, 901 36th Street Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A visitation will be on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 5:00-8:00pm at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL. A mass of christian burial will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach, FL at 10:00am, with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, FL
