

Joyce was born in Ft. Pierce 2-17-38 and attended local schools. She lived in Ft. Pierce during her 1st marriage to Raymond Cross, then in several different cities in FL and GA when married to Aubrey Morton. Joyce worked mostly in packing houses until becoming a full time homemaker.
In 1956 she was a Civil Air Patrol Cadet in the Stuart-Ft. Pierce Squadron. Photography was a hobby that she really enjoyed. Joyce was a member of a photography club in Lake City and had some of her photos displayed at a Jr. College in north Florida.
Survivors include brothers: Luther (Maxine), Malcolm (Marie), Gene (Marie), Roy (Nancy), James (Mae Jean), Curtis; sister, Betty (James), and lots of nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father and mother, Hama and Louise Barker; brothers: Raymond (Lorilla), and Edgar (Lois); sister, Beverly (Robert); brother-in-law, James (Betty); sisters-in-law: Lorilla (Raymond), Mae Jean (James), Marie (Malcolm); and husbands: Raymond Cross and Aubrey Morton.
A graveside service will be 11:00 am September 20th at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens located at 6026 N. US Highway 1 (just south of the Indian River County line). A reception is planned for a later date.
