Judith Ann Devine

Judith Ann Devine, age 77, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, after a battle with cancer. Her family and friends mourn her loss but find comfort in knowing she is now resting peacefully.

Judy was born January 4, 1948, in New Brunswick, New Jersey and moved with her family to South Florida at a young age. She graduated from Forest Hills High School where she was a proud cheerleader and great student. Her academic ambition led her to obtain her undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and her Master’s degree from Florida International University. She went on to be an educator herself, teaching high school English for over 30 years. After retiring her teaching career, she dove into a different passion—running a jewelry company, Just Men’s Rings, with her husband.

Judy was an avid traveler, especially enjoying spending time in her family’s homeland of Holland. When here in Florida, she appreciated the small things: making family recipes, watching a good Miami Dolphins game, and curling up with her cats.

Judy lives on through her beloved son Tal Getgood and granddaughter Madison Getgood; brother Jan Adams and sister-in-law Nancy Hill; brother-in-law Shaw McPeak and his son and daughter Scott and Jen; and her dear friends Paula, Marla, and Molly. We celebrate her reuniting with her mother Wilhelmina, sister Donna, and father Edward.

Per her request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any local animal shelters.
