Born in Chicago, IL, she raised her family in Prairie Village, KS and has been a resident of Vero Beach, FL for the past 4 years.
Katherine worked for 25 years at Capital Federal Saving & Loan in Shawnee Mission, KS. She attended St. Ann's Catholic Church in Prairie Village and St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include, sons, Michael and wife Sally LaPorta, of Vero Beach, FL, Victor Joseph LaPorta, of Miami, FL and John and wife Shellie LaPorta, of Miami, FL, brother, Sam and wife Marge Cassato, of Northfield, IL and 2 grandchildren, Jennifer and Katie.
Arrangements are under the care of Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL. A private service is planned, but Katherine may be remembered with donations to the Florida Baptist Retirement Center in Vero Beach, FL.
