

Born in Jamestown, NY, he has been a resident of Vero Beach, FL for the past 42 years, formerly of Lakewood, NY.
Leslie was a decorated United States Army veteran, serving with General Patton in World War II as a tank commander, he also received 2 purple hearts and receipt of the bronze star.
Prior to retirement, he worked as a tool and die maker for 20 years, while also serving in the New York National Guard and the Lakewood Police Department part-time. Upon moving to Vero Beach, FL Leslie worked in the insurance industry for 20 years. Post retirement he drove a school bus for Indian River County Schools, and worked in his son’s computer business for 7 years. He was an avid reader enjoying reading the history of World War II. He also enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include, wife of 62 years, Carol McCall, of Vero Beach, son, Paul McCall, of Vero Beach, FL, daughters, Betty Schino, of Valrico, FL, Kathleen Fromang and Brenda Smith, of Vero Beach, 4 grandchildren,2 great granddaughters and brother, Raymond McCall, of Camino, CA.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 from 12:00-1:00pm at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2001 at 1:00pm at Aycock Funeral Home, with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce, FL.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice 901 37th Street Vero Beach, FL 32960.
