Manuel received his early childhood education in Gosha, New York, however he achieved the completion of his GED at the age of 55. Manuel studied very hard and graduated at the top of his class.
In 1953 while at a dance in Hoboken, New Jersey Manuel met the love of his life. The couple married in 1955 and to this union 2 sons were born, Thomas and James. Manuel, taught his boys at a young age to always look a man in the eye while shaking their hand. This mantra was the base line for his boys.
Manuel loved to stay active, and spent much of his time perfecting his craft in Jui Jitsu where he earned the title of 2nd degree Black Belt.
Manuel also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. You could catch him salt water and big game fishing. He also enjoyed watching his children compete in sports, playing his harmonica and spending time with his grandchildren.
Manuel is survived by his son James Freitas (Mary Bonner); and his son Thomas Freitas; his granddaughter Arianna Offert, his grandson Manuel James Freitas and his great granddaughter Ellie James Offert.
Manuel was preceded in death by his father Manuel Freitas (Marie); his grandson James Freitas Jr..
A visitation for Manuel will be held Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and a funeral service will occur Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6026 North US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946. Manuel will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 6026 North Us Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946.
