Mary was born in Wilmington, Delaware and had been a resident of Fort Pierce for 29 years coming from Wilmington, Delaware.
Mary was a member of the Salvation Army Church and served as secretary for Home League.
Survivors include sons, Bernard Sammons, Marvin Sammons, both of Fort Pierce, FL, Curtis Sammons, of Fellsmere, FL, David Sammons, of Akron, OH; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Marvin Sammons and daughter, Eva Rebecca Barnwell.
Services will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL.
