

Her favorite pastime was ballroom dancing and she was a born sales lady.
Boots had great style, was sassy, fun and full of life.
She was born on April 25, 1913, in Galion, Ohio, to Hazel V. Benedict and Benjamin Benedict.
They lived in Marion, Ohio, and she graduated from Harding High School and married her high school sweetheart, Paul Cole Holden,
who predeceased her. They were married for 52 years.
Colonel Holden was a US Air Force Pilot, so they traveled to many places, including Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Ottawa, Canada; Louisville, Kentucky;
Panama Canal Zone; Fort Dix and McGuire AFB, New Jersey; Fort Sam Houston AFB, Texas; Plattsburg, New York; Bossier City/Shreveport, Louisiana; Falls Church, Virginia; Naples, Italy and back to Falls Church, Virginia, with retirement in Fort Pierce, Florida.
She is survived by her three children, Fred J. Holden (wife, Shelby); Paula Ann Holden Sage (husband, Matthew) , and William J. Holden (wife, Lisanne). She leaves a legacy of four grandchildren, Tamara Appel (Duane), Kimberly O’Keeffe (Gregory), Mitzi Green (Robert), and Paul Holden; also 7 great-grandchildren, Joshua O’Keeffe, Zachary O’Keeffe, Kevan Green, Kristina Green, Katie Appel, Mark Appel and Andrew Appel.
A celebration of life will be held at Aycock Funeral Home/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Chapel at 6026 N. US Highway #1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946, December 26, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Colonel Paul C. Holden, USAF.
