Richard Eugene Williams

Richard “Dick” E. Williams, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s, on December 8, 2023. Dick was surrounded, in his final hours, by his wife and sons.

Dick was a born in Miami, Florida to Charles and Alice Williams and grew up with three brothers & two sisters; George, Robert, Susie, Ruby and his younger brother, Ronnie, who lives in Virginia Beach, VA.

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Linda, his son, Rich, and his stepsons, Todd and Timothy (TJ) Lawrence. Dick was also father to his daughter, Laura Simpkins, who predeceased him. Dick is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, Christal, Jamie, Stephanie, Alison, Patti, Debbie, Kevin, Grace, Mackenzie, Emma, Kylie and Elle. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.

Dick became a resident of Fort Pierce, FL in 1998 and was a man of many interests and hobbies. He loved fishing, turkey hunting, shooting and traveling. His interests jumped from building large remote controlled model airplanes, to paragliding, to both salt and fresh water fishing. Dick loved anything that could provoke his mind and stoke his sense of adventure.

Dick enjoyed his time coaching youth baseball at Driftwood Optimist, in Hollywood, FL where he impacted many young lives through sports. He had fun riding his motorcycle and taking his boat out on the Indian River Lagoon.

Dick retired from Phoenix Metal Products in 2013 and was able to take his long-planned road trip with Linda, over two months across the United States. It was a bucket list accomplishment that he never forgot.

Dick touched the lives of many people and will be missed by the many who were impacted by him.

A memorial service for Richard will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home, 6026 North US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946.
