Joseph Kern Sr. and Evelyn Ruth
Kern.
Rita was a kind and down-to-earth woman who touched the lives of many with her generosity and warmth. She had a deep love for children and animals, which was evident in her contributions to the ASPCA and her nurturing relationships with her nieces and nephews. Rita enjoyed music, watching TV and movies, solving puzzles, shopping, and spending time with loved ones.
She met her late husband, Michael Genovese, at his grandmother's house-a meeting that blossomed into a loving relationship and marriage. After Michael's passing, Rita found comfort in the companionship of her niece Jessica, who moved in to help care for her. Jessica brought along her dog Shiloh, whom Rita adored deeply.
Family was central to Rita's life.
She cherished time spent at her mother's house with her nieces and nephews as they grew up. She is survived by her siblings Joyce Corn, Ronnie Kern, Patricia Beaudoin, and Donna Beaudoin; nieces Tammy, April, Kerri, Jenny, Amanda, Jessica, and Tiffany; nephews Wayne, Daniel, Andrew, Brian, and Shawn; as well as many others who were touched by her kindness. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother
Donald Joseph Kern Jr.
Rita's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May she be remembered for her compassion
