He was born in Detroit, MI, and moved to the area in the early 80’s coming from Detroit, MI.
He was veteran of WWII serving in the US Army. He was also a POW.
Prior to retirement William had worked at General Motors for 28 years. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion both in Cass City, MI, Moose Lodge in Port St Lucie, FL, General Motors Retirement club and the Waterford Eagles, Waterford, MI.
Survivors include his son, Karl Harrison of Seattle, WA, sister, Florence Prichard of Carsonville, MI, companion, Millie Hilligoss of Ft Pierce, FL, 5 grandchildren, Kimberly, Tonya, Jennifer, Kathy and Kurt, 10 great grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Melva Steinman, and his two sons, Kenneth and Keith.
A visitation will be on Thursday November 8th, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Aycock Funeral Home, Ft Pierce, FL. A funeral service will be held on Friday November 9th, 2012 at 10:00 AM, also at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, FL. Interment will follow at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
