Uncle Woodie was such a huge part of my life even though we didn't get to see each other that often. He was a great brother to my Dad and an awesome Great Uncle to my daughter. My favorite memories are of him chasing lizards with Olivia, regaling us with stories of his many rabbits hiding in his yard, and bringing me to Florida after I graduated from high school and making sure I knew all of my Cundiff family. Thank you Uncle Woodie, you will always be in my heart.

Aunt Barbara and Carla,
Although it is hard for us to travel now, I want you to know that your Kentucky family is with you in heart and prayer. The loss is so hard to bare. Uncle Woody was a great and gentle giant and always wanted to make you smile. I remember (Mona) once when Don & I were in Fla. when his brother Don was in poor health for a little over a week. Don and I stayed by Pap's side the entire time we were there. As we were leaving to come back to Ky, I was in the driveway sobbing. Uncle Woody saw my destress and wanted to know what was wrong. I told him that we had been there over a week and I had not even gotten to see the ocean (which was a big deal to me). So, what did Uncle Woody do, loaded me up in his truck along with Aunt Barbara and Carla and took me to the beach. We stayed for a short while, but it was all that I needed. That was the kind of considerate person that Uncle Woody was. I have so many more fond memories that I will hold in my heart dearly. He will be sadly missed by all of his Kentucky family and friends, as well as his Florida family and friends. Again, all of the Kentucky family's heart and prayers are with you Aunt Barbara and Carla and to all who knowed and loved Uncle Woody.

I am so deeply saddened by this news. Know that my heart is with you, Carla and Barbara. I always think of him fondly, sitting on his chair sharing his stories from long ago. Even on his toughest days, he always manage to laugh and make light of it all. He will forever be in my heart and I’m truly am blessed to have met him. I am so sorry for this great loss. Your family remains in my prayers.
