Jim was predeceased by his loving wife, Myrna (2011); his father Herman; his mother Mildred (Reinhardt Mohl); his sister Joyce (Fred) Hellyer; his sister-in-law Louise Hollerbaum; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Andrew (Hilda) Miller and his brother-in-law Jerry (Verna) Miller.
He is survived by his sons Shawn (Anna) and Anna’s children Mickenzie and Michael and family; Tim (Tracey), grandson Jordan and granddaughter Jenna; his brother Bruce; his sisters-in-law Betty (Bill) Lindsey and Brenda (Randy) Cherinchenko and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jim loved living by the lake, making Pasqua Lake his and Myrna’s home, where he enjoyed quality time fishing, boating, snowmobiling and spending time with family, friends and the grandchildren.
A hard worker, Jim found great pleasure in working on anything with a motor. A true “Jim of all trades”, he was a mechanic (at Aklands Grainger) but excelled as a builder and welder. He was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed help fixing and offered the best advice, taking the time to sit down and chat. These conversations are memories we will cherish forever.
Our hearts are heavy with sadness, but we find comfort in knowing that Papa is now reunited with Myrna (Bema).
Please join us in a come and go Celebration of Jim’s Life in the Edenwold Community Hall on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The interment will follow in the Edenwold Cemetery.
