Maureen will be missed by her children: Danielle (David) Bell, Michelle Materi, Chris (Kim) Materi and Lindsay (Jordan) Anderson; as well as her grandchildren: Sean, Kaelyn, Liam and Rylee; Brandon (Allison) and Gabriel; Blake and Paisley; Hartley and Kinley; great-granddaughter Kalea and soon to be born great-grandson.
Maureen is survived by her siblings: Sharon (Lawrence), Ivan (Twila), Cynthia (Mark), Dennis (Marge), Nancy (Matt) and Evelyn and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Maureen was born on May 22, 1951, in Lipton, Saskatchewan and completed her schooling there before attending SIAST in 1971. She became a Medical Laboratory Technologist, which she worked as for 40 years.
Maureen was a dedicated farm wife and enjoyed gardening, canning and sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee. She was actively involved in her church, spent many years in the Lipton Lioness Club and supported her community through various boards.
Maureen always appreciated her visits with long-time friends and family and had recently started making new friends with her move to Regina. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, reading and most of all spending time with her family, especially when they were all together. One of Maureen’s greatest pleasures was her grandkids, who continuously made her proud and brought her an immense amount of joy.
A memorial service will be held in the Lipton Community Hall on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., with officiant Rev. Joshua Kurtenbach. A private family interment will take place in Lipton Memorial Gardens prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Maureen can be made to Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Box 1519, Fort Qu’Appelle, SK S0G 1S0.
