Norman Reisdorf

REISDORF - Norm was called to eternal glory on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the age of 84. Beloved for his dedication to family, industrious attitude, and razor wit, Norm was a pillar of strength for everyone in need. Norm was born and raised in the Lipton, Saskatchewan area with ten brothers and sisters. Growing up with so many siblings instilled in him a deep appreciation of family. Life on a farm inured him to hard work and bred an affirmative attitude that carried Norm through his many endeavours, including an insurance career and proprietorship of two food markets. He was predeceased by his parents, Karl and Olga Reisdorf; five brothers, Ernest, Walter, Ron, Art, and Wilford; and one brother-in-law, Mel Kinchen. Norm is survived by Anita, his wife of 55 years; two children, Tim and Bonnie (Michael) Stecyk; three grandsons, Taylor and Devin Reisdorf and Brett Stecyk; two sisters, Adrienne Kinchen and Sylvia (Dick) Singbeil; two brothers, Herb (Doreen) and Elmer; four sisters-in-law, Bertha, Freda, Bev, and Joyce; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in the Living Christ Lutheran Church in Lipton at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Donald A. Koch.
