The Funeral Service will be held in St. Andrew's United Church, Fort Qu'Appelle, SK on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian R. Mee officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery.
Pearl was predeceased by her loving husband of 68 years, Albert (Joe) Mooney, her three sons: Melvin, Kim and Gerald Mooney, two sisters: Merle and Louise and one brother Ernie Dexter.
She is survived by her son, Mervin Mooney, her grandchildren; Tammy Mooney (Danny), Kelly Mooney (Jody), Shea Mooney, Kim Mooney, Sandra Mooney (Bruce), her great-grandchildren; Taya Mooney, Eric Mooney and Jade Glen, her sister-in-law Lora Dexter and nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was born on May 1, 1925 in the Ogema area where she met her husband and best friend Joe. She raised her family and was a housewife for the most part of their married life until she had a stroke in 1991. Roles reversed and Joe took over all duties around the house as well as took on being the best care aide that Pearl could have asked for, which he did happily for many many years.
Pearl and Joe had spent the last couple years together at the Echo Lodge in Fort Qu'Appelle. Pearl loved to have Joe read to her, play cards and watch her ball games. She will be forever loved and missed. Many thanks to all the staff at Echo Lodge for the care given to her the last several years.
If friends so desire, contributions to the Echo Lodge Special Care Home, Box 1790, Fort Qu'Appelle, SK, SOG 1S0 may be tokens of remembrance.
